I listen to a lot of Disney podcasts and this one is by far the most hilarious. Derrick and Doug’s humor is right up my sarcastic alley. Not only do I constantly laugh out loud, but I also learn a lot of new things that help with my trips and keep me in the magic in between trips. The best part is waiting through each show to hear how they will incorporate Pizza Rizzo and/or trumpet squid. Definitely give this show a follow, you won’t regret it!!

I started to listen to this podcast in preparation for my 1st Disney world trip, and figured I’d unsubscribe after the trip, but it’s been 1.5 years and I’m still listening! These guys are fun, funny, relatable, and knowledgeable! I love their approach and I love how their tips, tricks, and advice are for all of us “normal” Disney adults and families! I especially love the lightning round! (Also: my husband is a Disney loving dentist, so that’s fun too!) Thanks Derek and Doug! Have fun reading this in a year!

Love the show! I binged a ton of episodes before our trip in March. Love the honesty of you both. You’re kids are around the same ages as mine, so it was so helpful to hear realistic stories you share. I still continue to listen, helps with the Disney blues!

Really enjoying your podcast as I prepare for a family trip in May. I had to share though that I started listening and looked you guys up on instagram. I totally had your voices switched and didn’t realize it until Dereck added stories from his current Disney trip. It really messed with my head! Anyway big fan and can’t wait to use all the info I’ve learned including how to be a galactic hero!

Doug and Derek do a great job presenting their love for Disney and the parks on this show. It's a cool mix of tips, trip reports, and just fun episodes. They’ve been so consistent and continue to deliver lots of awesome tips and interesting podcasts. Check it out!

I came for the tips, and stayed for the entertainment. My life is essentially a never-ending string of plans to visit and revisit Disney parks, so Derek and Doug's witty adventures and down-to-earth expertise are always relevant. I thought I was a Disney pro before, but thanks to these guys, all my rope dropping and Trumpet Squid dreams were brought to life when my nephew got to be the first in line at Magic Kingdom last spring break. I told myself I had to listen to every single episode before I'd leave a review and become a Patreon, and boy was the road longer than the line for the women's bathroom after Festival of the Lion King. Listening to the podcast backwards was like riding Carousel of Progress in reverse. I admittedly expected the Covid episodes to be like Living with the Land, but these Disney dads did great at Soarin' over the empty TP shelves and mass hysteria. It was fun hearing how much Derek and Doug's opinions of Be Our Guest and the many resorts evolved over the years, and I feel like I grew up (or down) with their kids. If there was one constant, it was their love for riding Buzz and eating dinner at Ohana. And no matter what they say, those first 40 episodes are worth the magic carpet ride! I then proceeded to listen to Rope Drop on Deck in chronological order, and found myself confused after being so used to knowing nothing about the past while in the present (much like someone who's never ridden Spaceship Earth). Now that I'm a Patreon, I find Derek and Doug's ramblings much like Seven Dwarves Mine Train and Tower of Terror—surprisingly enjoyable for an adult, and I only wish they were longer. And now, forrr theee LIGHTNING ROUND (insert clash of thunder): Favorite episode editer with a contagious laugh and admirable passion for videography, Star Wars, and all things Disney? Derek. Favorite goofball with a heart of gold and Disney tips and opinions (and solid dad jokes) that I truly value? Doug. Favorite and most knowledgeable travel agent with the loudest eyerolls heard on audio? Michelle. Favorite guest with the most fun, quirky personality and a love for Harry Potter I can relate to? Madison. Favorite episodes? The trip reports (and extra Universal content). Biggest regret? Taking this long to hear about the merch available on Redbubble. Your favorite part of this review? When it finally ends. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate the hard work and love for Disney you all put into everything you do. I genuinely feel like you all are part of my Disney family. Please don't quit your night jobs!

I know I’m planning a Disney trip when I’m listening to RDR whenever I have a free minute! Doug and Derek are the best, most relatable Disney podcasters with great advice, humor and entertaining personal experiences. Although I don’t understand loving Disney as much as Doug does and yet not going on all the best rides, I love that he’s also a huge Dole Whip fan like me! You guys always get me pumped up for my next trip! I hope to join you guys on a RDR trip one day! Also: Michelle is THE BEST! ❤️

I have been listening to Derek & Doug for a few years now. I appreciate their knowledge and advice when it comes to Disney travel along with the humor they bring to each episode. Easily in my top 3 for Disney podcasts.

Hands down my favorite Disney podcast. The guys are so very knowledgeable and break difficult topics (Genie+ yikes!) down to make it incredibly easy to understand. We took our 8 yr old for the first time last April and can’t wait to go back!! Thanks for making our trip easy, guys!

Started listening when planning a trip to Disney World, now listen because it leaves me with a smile on my face. Fun, entertaining and informative- a great podcast, even when Disney World is not in your travel plans.

Practical Disney advice that is still tons of fun.

As I sit in this dimly lit room, tied to a chair, wondering what they will do to me, as I’ve been threatened with churro beatings…and not the good Disneyland ones…I have a prepared statement to read… Doug and Derek are not only the smartest and handsomest podcasters in the space, they are also the most knowledgeable Disney experts the likes of which Disney executives reach out to them for input. Chapek was fired for not taking their advice and heading their wisdom. Don’t be like Chapek, listen to the show, learn from the show, live the teachings of the show. I am being treated very well, and been fed a diet of dole whip and Mickey shaped foods while “under the care” of Doug and Derek. Besides their wisdom, ruggedly good looks, and upstanding citizenship, they are also humanitarians the likes of which the UN should consult…like Chapek should’ve done. Joking aside, yes that was a joke, great show, love how it’s very informative and down to earth. Feel like I’m hanging out with friends while listening. Again, not a joke, thank you both for a great show and all you do.

Doug and Derek provided so many valuable nuggets to help us save time and money on our recent Disney trip. A good example was the Tron queue. Cast member when we checked in said we were looking at an hour wait. Thanks to Doug and Derek’s recommendation to bring nothing and by pass the lockers, we were on the ride in 16 minutes. We had many examples of that gauge on our trip. I have continued to listen to RDR even though we are now home, as I know we will do another Disney trip again and listening to them helps beat the vacation blues. Thanks Doug and Derek!

I’ve probably listened to 10 different Disney podcasts over the last few months to help plan my upcoming trip taking my kids for the first time. This has been my favorite podcast to listen to by far and now the only one that I’m listening to! I especially love the TPS report episodes - keep them coming (ideally before January 2024!!).

Give this one a listen! I’ve been listening for more than a year and I was unsure whether listening to two dudes discussing Disney would be appealing, especially since I have never Rope Dropped. Yes, I admitted it. I. Have. Never. Rope. Dropped. I’m still not sure that I can commit to doing a rope drop ever because I am a night person. If you are in the same boat, don’t let that dissuade you. Doug and Derek actually have great information that you can still benefit from. Look for the episode on reverse rope dropping., in particular They are fun and hilarious! They have great guests. Don’t miss this one! And who knows?! Maybe one day I will actually see the sunrise at a Disney park.
