🎙️ RDR 481: 7 Deadly Walt Disney World Sins (and How to Avoid Them!)

This week on Rope Drop Radio, we’re calling out the 7 Deadly Sins of Walt Disney World vacations—those rookie mistakes, big regrets, and trip-ruining choices that too many guests make. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned park hopper, you'll want to avoid these!

We're joined by our friend CT from Tin Foil Mouse Ears to count down the top 7 missteps you don’t want to make at WDW—and share our own experiences (and confessions!) along the way. Make sure to check out his artical matching this topic.

💀 The 7 Deadly Sins of Disney World

  1. Trying to WING It – You need a plan. Trust us.

  2. Skipping Character Dining – Don't miss out on magical memories (and great meals).

  3. Ignoring Cast Members – Be kind. A little gratitude goes a long way.

  4. Not Budgeting for Extras – Genie+, Lightning Lanes, snacks… they add up fast.

  5. Neglecting Your Body – Stay hydrated, wear good shoes, and rest.

  6. Forgetting You'll Get Wet – From rides to weather, prepare accordingly.

Husband/Veteran/Disney Prognosticator

Life long visitor to the Disney Parks thanks to my amazing parents. Left my family to join the Air Force in the Spring of 2001. Upon returning from my time in Iraq I met my beautiful wife Kelsey. Shortly after her graduation, we married and I ended my active duty time in the USAF after over 10 years of service. That year we went to Walt Disney World for the first time together for Christmas and the rest is history. We bought our first Disney Vacation Club membership at Bay Lake Tower in 2011. Sailed to the Western Caribbean on Disney Cruise Line for the first time in 2014, where we added Aulani to our membership. So far we have cruised every major market for DCL and visited the parks (DL and WDW), Aulani, and Vero totaling over 20 trips in the last 15 years. In 2024, I started Tin Foil Mouse Ears as a new way to participate in this amazing community. My wild prognostications can be found on social media and over at the DCL Duo Substack!
